Today’s topic is going to be about schools! Since we are almost back to school after a wonderful Spring Break, we thought this topic would be fitting. We will be narrowing down our conversation to pinpoint different private schools on the island, their locations and a little bit more about what they offer.


Regardless of where you move to, starting a new life in a new home with your family goes far beyond choosing a property you all enjoy. Your child’s education is of the utmost importance, so we are here to help you start your search for the right match! Some of the top schools throughout the island are either secular or religious private schools.


Education in Dorado, Puerto Rico


Dorado is a charming city located on the northern coast of Puerto Rico. TASIS School

Also known as Tasis Dorado, is an international, co-educational, not-for-profit, college-preparatory school that offers a challenging and supportive academic program The school is affiliated with The American School in Switzerland (TASIS) schools all over the world. Located in Dorado, Puerto Rico, the school surrounds students with modern facilities and gorgeous natural surroundings. English is the primary language of instruction and mastery of multiple languages is fostered from PPK to 12th grade.


Dorado Academy

Is a private, college-preparatory school that provides a bilingual education in English and Spanish. With a focus on individualized instruction, the school offers a rigorous academic program from pre-kindergarten to grade 12. The school's campus includes modern facilities and amenities, including a performing arts center, a gymnasium, and a swimming pool. Is a co-educational, non-sectarian school that offers a bilingual education in English and Spanish, though English is the primary language of instruction. The school s one of two on the island that offer international baccalaureate programs. Education at Robinson strongly emphasizes community service and philanthropy. Their facilities promote academic, athletic, and artistic excellence and allow our students to flourish and excel.

Academia Maria Reina

Is an all-girls Catholic secondary school that provides a values-based education for students from 7th to 12th.


Commonwealth-Parkville School.

Is a private, non-profit school that provides a bilingual education in English and Spanish. With two campuses, Parkville is the learning center for students from PPK to 6th grade and Commonwealth is home to students from 7th to 12th grade. With an inclusive and diverse learning environment, the teachers are readily prepared to meet students’ needs within the classroom.


Academia Perpetuo Socorro

Is a co-educational Catholic school that provides a values-based education for students from pre-kindergarten to 12th grade. Encouragement is given to each student and teacher to exert themselves in nurturing the spiritual, emotional, social, cultural and physical development as integral components of their academic program.


Education in Guaynabo, Puerto Rico




Guaynabo, a city located in the metropolitan area of San Juan, Puerto Rico, is recognized for its unique blend of suburban tranquility and proximity to the lively capital. With a fusion of modernity and tradition, it offers a peaceful residential environment while maintaining accessibility to a wide range of services and activities. The city stands out for its thoughtful urban planning and attractive green spaces.

Baldwin School of PR

A leading private, non-profit, non-sectarian, international, college preparatory school that provides a bilingual education in English and Spanish. The medium-sized school is one of two on the island that offer international baccalaureate programs to students from PPK-12th grade. Their community fosters international mindedness and accomplishments in the arts, service, and athletics.

Colegio Marista

Is a private catholic school administered by the religious congregation of the Marist Brothers of the Schools, a worldwide organization dedicated to the Christian education of youth. Emphasis is given to the Christian education of all students. Colegio Marista is a Catholic school that provides a values-based education for students from PPK to 12th grade.


Colegio San Jose

An all-boys Catholic school that provides a values-based education for students from 6th grade to 12th grade. Located in Rio Piedras, Puerto Rico, the school centers their students’ education around the Marianist education, emphasizing the value in serving others and shaping each individual into excellent citizens.


Colegio San Ignacio de Loyola

Is a Jesuit school that provides a faith and values-based education for students from 6th grade to 12th grade. An integral part of the school’s mission is to educate young men and their families to become bridges throughout varying connected to promote fraternity and justice amongst one another.


American Military Academy

A private, coeducational, college-preparatory, non-sectarian institution for students from PreK-12th grade. The school offers a structured and disciplined environment that emphasizes academic excellence, leadership development, and physical fitness. AMA offers students a holistic approach to educate students spiritually, emotionally, and intellectually.


Education in Humacao, Puerto Rico
